Our political candidates, regardless of the office they are running for, don't understand that the needs of the average American are best served by focusing their efforts on the small business. If small business is struggling to hire, this means everyone is employed and has a weekly paycheck. This is a trickle up effect, not a trickle down.

About Small Business

Small business owners on a daily basis make decisions knowing that their banks loan them money based upon personal guarantees. This means that. If I fail, the bank takes everything I own and that includes my home, my home that is almost mortgage free and is home to my wife and children.
As a business owner I do not make choices that I don't fully understand. It concerns me that we have politicians making bad decisions based on information provided by special interest groups. Our Representatives are listening to these groups which are benefitting from these decisions rather than considering the impact on small business when small business is what actually drives the economy.
Representation for small business is non-existent. Small businesses are not involved in business associations and are basically invisible to the political process. Most business associations represent business with 500 or more employees.
We need politicians that have small business experience.
Fact: Small business is responsible for 80% of this country's newly created positions. Therefore, it is imperative that small business to be part of our representation.

What I do know is: if small business is hiring and competing for employees then our lower middle income people are in high demand and receiving higher wagers and this is the best sceniaro of all. You can give the auto makers all the money you want but if the lower middle income people don’t all have jobs, then spending comes to a halt, and cars dont sell.
